What we see in this area
- Carpal tunnel syndrome — the median nerve is under pressure in the carpal. Tingling and numbness in the thumb, index finger and middle finger, often worst at night.
- Thumb osteoarthritis (CMC-1) — pain at the base of the thumb when pinching, twisting and grasping.
- Tennis elbow and golfer's elbow — pain on the outside or inside of the elbow that radiates to the forearm.
- Tendon complaints of the wrist and fingers — for example due to repetitive work, making music or sports.
What we do
We start with an examination in which we determine where the complaint comes from: the wrist, the elbow or the neck. Depending on this, we treat with manual techniques and, where useful, with injection therapy by the doctors in our practice in Dordrecht. If the examination shows that surgery or other specialization is necessary, we will say so.

How the investigation is going
During your first visit, we don't just look at the place where it hurts. Because the nerves to the hand and arm start in the neck, we also examine the mobility of the neck and shoulder and do a number of neurological tests. You will always hear what we are investigating and why, and at the end what we have found.
