Your first visit
This is how your first visit will go
From receipt to first treatment in 30 minutes. You always know what we do and why.
- Reception At the counter we will check your ID and health insurance card and immediately check whether you are insured.
- Conversation You talk about your complaint: how long it has been going on, what you have done about it, what medications you use and when it bothers you most during the day.
- Examination from head to toe We examine your back, pelvis, hips and neck while standing, lying and sitting. You keep your shirt on; a headscarf may remain on.
- Heat scan With the Tytron heat scan we measure the skin temperature along your spine. You can see the result yourself on the screen.
- Explanation and permission We tell you what we have found, whether chiropractic suits you and what alternatives and risks there are. We will only start once you agree.
- First treatment During the same visit. Afterwards, some after-pain may occur; you often feel immediate relief.
No treatment series, no obligations
You do not buy a package from us and you are not committed to anything. You will only return if it makes sense for your complaint. A follow-up treatment takes approximately 20 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a chiropractor near me?
If you live in Rotterdam-Zuid, almost certainly. The practice is at Cor Kieboomplein 227, next to De Kuip, close to Feijenoord, Vreewijk, Hillesluis and IJsselmonde. Bus 77 stops at Burgerhoutstraat, tram 3 at Stadion Feyenoord, and by car you can park right outside.
Do I need a referral from the GP?
No. You book an appointment directly, by phone or WhatsApp.
How long does the first visit take?
30 minutes: a conversation, examination, explanation of what we find and the first treatment. A follow-up treatment takes approximately 20 minutes.
What do I take with me?
An identity document (ID card or passport) and your health insurance card. If you have reports of previous scans or examinations, please bring them with you.
Am I stuck with a treatment series?
No. We do not work with treatment series or packages. You will only return if it makes sense for your complaint.
What does a treatment cost?
A first visit costs € 90, a follow-up treatment € 70. You know in advance what you will pay, and nothing is added afterwards. All prices are listed under the rates.
How quickly can I go?
Often within a week. If you have acute symptoms, for example because your back suddenly gave way, give us a call: we will see what is possible.
Can children and pregnant women come to you?
Yes. The treatment is then adapted to the situation: gentler, and always after discussing what is and isn’t sensible. For those who prefer to avoid cracking, there is gentle chiropractic.
Does it always crack, and does that hurt?
No. The cracking is not a bone sound but a small gas bubble escaping from the joint, and it is generally not painful. If you find it daunting, or it does not suit your complaint, we choose gentle techniques without cracking.
What is the difference with a physiotherapist or osteopath?
A chiropractor focuses mainly on the joints of the spine and the nerves that run there, using short, targeted techniques. A physiotherapist works mainly with exercises and guidance on movement; an osteopath works more broadly and more gently, including on muscles and connective tissue. Our chiropractor Arthur Mulder is also a physiotherapist. Not sure what suits your complaint? Give us a call.
