Feet carry the entire body. As soon as something hurts, you start walking differently — and that adjusted gait then puts strain on your knee, hip and back. A foot complaint that lingers for a long time is therefore rarely just a foot complaint for long. During our research we look at the foot and at what happens further in the chain.

What we see in this area
- Heel spurs and plantar fasciitis — shooting pain under the heel with the first steps in the morning and after sitting for a long time.
- Ankle instability — an ankle that continues to twist after a previous sprain.
- Achilles tendon problems — pain and stiffness at the back of the ankle, especially when starting up.
- Forefoot and midfoot pain — for example when running, standing work or after an injury.
What we do
We examine the position and mobility of the foot and ankle, and look at how you walk. The treatment consists of manual techniques for the joints of the foot and ankle, targeted exercises to restore stability, and, where useful, injection therapy by the doctors in our practice in Dordrecht. If the research shows that you have received better help elsewhere, we will say so and refer you.
More about each complaint: heel spur, ankle instability and Achilles tendon complaints.
How the investigation is going
The examination runs from high in the neck to the feet. Standing we look at your posture and the position of the pelvis, while lying down we look at the mobility of your hips, knees, ankles and feet. This way we can see whether the foot is the cause, or whether it is affected by what happens higher up in the chain.
